You have to be a United States Citizen to become a SWCC. No exceptions. Got a rap sheet? Consider another career. There's three steps you have to take:
- Visit your local Navy Recruiter
- Get a Navy contract
- Get a Navy SWCC contract
Once you've signed a Navy contract, you'll be eligible to take a Physical Screening Test (PST). Schedule your PST with your Special Warfare/Special Operations Mentor or coordinator.
Once you've passed the PST, your recruiter, Special Warfare/Special Operations Mentor or coordinator will request a reclassification for you into the SWCC program. The reclassification will generate a SWCC contract. The SWCC contract will supersede the Navy contract you originally received.
Stay fit because you'll need to pass another official PST 14 days before boot camp. Fail the PST and your dreams of being a SWCC will be over.
