SWCC operators conduct high priority missions in support of U.S. national objectives. SWCC operators specialize in small-unit tactics, giving them the ability to conduct military actions that are beyond the capability of conventional military forces. SWCC units often operate in concert with other Special Operations Forces. They are masters of maritime special operations. They use the following boats to conduct their missions:

MKV: MARK FIVE

The primary mission of the MKV is medium-range insertion and extraction for Navy SEALs and other Special Operations Forces in low to medium threat environments. The secondary mission is limited coastal patrol and interdiction.

- Length = 81' 2"

- Speed = About 45 Knots

- Range = About 500 Nautical Miles

RIB: RIGID-HULL INFLATABLE BOAT

The Naval Special Warfare RIB is a high speed, high buoyancy, extreme weather craft with the primary mission of insertion and extraction of Navy SEALs from enemy beaches. The RIB is also used by SWCC operators to conduct boat and ship boarding operations on vessels manned by hostile and potentially hostile crews.

- Length = 36'
- Speed = About 45 Knots
- Range = About 200 Nautical Miles

SOC-R: SPECIAL OPERATIONS CRAFT-RIVERINE

The SOC-R is a high speed boat with ample weapons and equipment capacity. This boat has the ability to operate in waterways that are located well inland. The capacity of the boat allows forces to conduct extended operations.

- Length = 33'

- Speed = About 40 Knots

- Range = About 295 Nautical Miles
