Anybody here have a good fin recommendation?

Either the IST rocket fins or the ScubaPro jet fins. I will say as a caveat, however, that you should start off with a cheap pair of snorkeling fins in order to build that hip and ankle flexion, and then gradually progress into the rocket/jet fins. This way, you are less prone to injury, as those rocket and jet fins are extremely stiff, and they can really mess up your feet and legs if you haven't conditioned yourself to that point. Hope this helps!

Follow up, do these recommendations require dive shoes?

Absolutely! I don't have a particular recommendation for dive shoes, but I do believe that IST sells some, so you should check that out
