  • Lieutenant Junior Grade Student pilot to SEAL O

Good afternoon, I am currently 25 and just put on LTJG in the Navy. Recently I was disqualified from flight school as a student naval aviator because of airsickness and vertigo while pulling G's and other flight maneuvers. I have to go through the re-designation board and want to put SEAL as my #1 option. I understand being a LTJG already puts me behind the curve, as well as being "attrited" from another community. That being said, I did not dor or fail out of aviation. My grades in flight school have been above average and I did everything I could to remain in the program. Is there even a possibility of getting selected to go to BUD/s as an in-fleet officer. I know most officers who are able to attend BUD/s have their warfare pins from their previous community but due to the length of aviation training, I do not have any warfare pins. By the time I would be able to go to a community, get my pin, and re-apply I will be a Lieutenant and around 28-29 years old. Thank you.
