  • Vision Correction for NSW Contract

    Hello All!

If I am not colorblind but do have really poor vision in both eyes with astigmatism[+9.00 L, +9.50 R] (but it is fully correctable) am I still able to be considered for a NSW contract? I do not have any pressure issues, depth issues, or colorblindness issues.

    Best,
    Seth W

If it’s fully correctable, you shouldn’t have a problem. Before lasik/prk, run it by your recruiter. Keep in mind you must recover for 6 months prior to enlisting under whatever NSW contract you’re going for. If I got any of that wrong I’m sure Scott will correct me on here. Good luck.
