  • Getting RE Code changed

I am trying to obtain a prior service waiver for my RE Code from the Airforce. I learned recently that the RE-3A that I received from the Airforce is eligible for enlistment for the Airforce only. An RE-3A is ineligible for reenlistment for the Navy no waivers given. I was told that I need to request that my Reentry Code be changed to an eligible RE Code for the Navy. Does anyone have information about this process. I know that I have to request the board of records and corrections for the Airforce, but that's about all.

    RE: Getting RE code Changed

I would have to guess that the whole process falls on the back of the Air Force. You can talk to a recruiter but they'll probably tell you the Air Force has to change it, and i dont even know if that's possible.
