  • Time In Service Waiver

IAW the SO MILPERSMAN; g. Time in Service. Have 6 years or less of active duty service as of the date of application receipt at NAVPERSCOM (PERS-401DH).
    Is this waiverable at all?
I joined on the challenge program in 2014 and subsequently DOR'd FEB15. I plan on submitting a crossrate package when I transfer back to the states at the end of this year. My enlistment will carry me through my 6 year mark in OCT20 and if this is not waiverable that will be a big factor to me on whether I will reenlist and continue applying for SO.

Yes, it is waiverable per the MILPERSMAN. The closer you are to six years, the better.
