  • Leadership at BUD/S

I am in touch with a few former SEAL's and asked what are good examples of leadership while under a boat, surf passage, races, rock portage, log PT etc. Here is the answer I received. Can I get more elaborate details of examples of good leadership in these situations/evolutions.

Here is the answer I received via email.

Good question. though my answer is not very sexy it is true.

You have to be a good team player - help your buddies out. BUT you have to be a good cheerleader for your classmates while doing events - log pt, boat carries, etc.

Sure there will be some tactical skills that come into play and making sound tactical decisions as a boat crew/squad leader at BUDS. But the best thing to do is WIN events/races. etc..
